Quran Memorisation Programme

"QMP — Hifzul Quran"

A sacred journey to preserve the words of Al-Qur'anul Kareem in the hearts of believers

"The best among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."

— Sahih Bukhari

 About the Programme

The Quran Memorisation Programme (QMP) at Bayyinah Academy is a sacred journey to preserve the words of Al-Qur'anul Kareem in the hearts of believers. Revealed by Allah to Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) as a timeless guide, the Qur'an is light, mercy, and wisdom for all humanity.

Our QMP aims to build a lifelong bond with the Qur'an — through memorization, understanding, and daily application.

 Benefits of Joining QMP

Memorizing the Qur'an (Hifzul Quran) brings countless blessings in this world and the Hereafter. Key benefits of becoming a Hafiz/Hafizah include:

Elevated rank in both worlds — the Haafiz is honored by Allah and His creation

The Qur'an becomes a source of intercession on the Day of Judgment

Parents of a Haafiz will wear a crown of honor brighter than the sun

The memorizer enjoys protection from trials, including the Dajjal

Every verse recited raises the believer's rank in Jannah

Efforts of the Companions in Memorizing the Qur'an

The Sahabah (Companions of the Prophet ﷺ) were the first generation of memorizers — the pioneers of Hifzul Quran. They would learn ten verses at a time, reflecting deeply before moving forward.

Some companions devoted their entire lives to memorization, while others gave their lives protecting the Qur'an in battle. Their sincerity and sacrifice built the foundation of every memorization program today — including Bayyinah's QMP.

How the Qur'an Was Preserved After Revelation

The preservation of the Qur'an is a divine miracle promised by Allah. The Prophet ﷺ memorized every revelation and taught it to his companions. They recorded verses on parchment, leather, and other materials while also memorizing them precisely.

Under Abu Bakr (RA)

The Qur'an was first compiled after the Battle of Yamamah to preserve it in written form.

Under Uthman ibn Affan (RA)

A unified written copy was distributed across the entire Muslim world.

"Indeed, We have sent down the Reminder, and indeed, We will surely preserve it."

— Surah Al-Hijr: 9
